On September 30, 2025, the finals and award ceremony of the 7th “Gongyou Cup” Employee Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition were held at the Workers’ Cultural Palace Theater in Wuhan. The “Egg Source Technology Empowering High-Value Utilization of Poultry By-products” project by Shendi Group stood out and won the competition’s first prize.

The “Egg Source Technology Empowering High-Value Utilization of Poultry By-products” project from Shendi Group stood out and won the competition’s first prize.

The competition is themed “Building Momentum, Innovating the Future through Industry,” and is jointly organized by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Women’s Federation, the Municipal Science and Technology Association, the Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology Innovation, and the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security. Since its launch in July of this year, the competition has attracted widespread attention and enthusiastic participation from all sectors of society. A total of 215 projects from across the city have registered to compete, covering four specialized fields: technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, modern services, and modern agriculture. After rigorous selection by the respective specialized review panels, 57 projects have advanced to the finals, where fierce competition unfolded on-site.

Yang Fengfan, General Manager of Shendi Group, led his team to compete in the event. Starting from the market backdrop—where there is a severe gap in key technologies for egg-processing, industrial transformation faces significant challenges, and output value growth is constrained—he meticulously analyzed the project from multiple angles, including its innovativeness, technological maturity, and industrialization capabilities. This analysis vividly and comprehensively showcased Shendi’s deep-rooted expertise and robust strength in the field of advanced egg processing. While achieving technological breakthroughs and a substantial increase in output value, the project has also boosted regional economic development, created employment opportunities, promoted rural revitalization and industrial rejuvenation, and delivered both economic and social benefits. As a result, it received unanimous recognition from the judging panel of experts and secured first place in the special track for modern agriculture—a standout performance among all competing projects.

The “EggSource Technology Empowers High-Value Utilization of Poultry Egg By-products” project leverages innovative biotechnology to develop a series of high-value, functional egg products centered on the sophisticated processing of eggs and the comprehensive utilization of by-products, thereby addressing vital health needs. This project represents the most technologically challenging and broadly innovative component of Shendi Group’s commitment to high-quality development across the entire egg industry chain. Several scientific and technological achievements related to eggshells, membranes, liquid egg components, and defective eggs have been recognized as “internationally leading” and “internationally advanced.” The EggSource Technology products, developed using patented technologies, span multiple fields including household cleaning and daily chemicals, oral care, functional health supplements, and pet nutrition. A number of these products have already been launched and are widely popular among consumers. Among them, the DanShengYuan® Eggshell Fruit & Vegetable Cleaner—developed based on the unique adsorption and complexation properties of CA-active microparticles from eggshells—represents an innovative breakthrough that fills a gap in both domestic and international markets and has consistently ranked No. 1 in sales for its category on platforms such as Douyin.
