From April 22 to 23, the “Flying Shadows Never Fade—Chasing Starlight Dreams” 2023 Beijing International Film Festival Filmmaker Ultimate Frisbee Invitational was successfully held at the Xingrui Xiangda Football Field in Zhoujiacun Cultural and Sports Park. This invitational tournament is guided by the Office of the Beijing International Film Festival Organizing Committee and supported by the Social Sports Guidance Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the National Ultimate Frisbee Promotion Committee. It’s an outdoor ultimate frisbee event initiated by film industry professionals, open to the general public. Taking sports as the catalyst, the event provides a valuable platform for exchange and interaction among film industry practitioners, celebrity actors, and enthusiastic ultimate frisbee enthusiasts. Through the active participation of film industry figures—who leverage their social influence—this event further promotes the development of ultimate frisbee and fuels a nationwide fitness craze. It calls on the public to step onto the green lawns, enjoy sports with joy, and reap the benefits of good health.

At the opening ceremony, Cui Yan, Director of the Beijing International Film Festival Operations Center at Beijing Radio and Television Station, Zhu Weiping, Deputy Director of the National Frisbee Sports Promotion Committee, and Xue Zhixing, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Frisbee Sports Promotion Committee, jointly unveiled the official launch of the event.

With no eggs touching the ground, vitality keeps flowing and energy keeps being replenished. The Shendi Group’s Dan Sheng Yuan Energy Station is located on the west side just outside the competition venue. Themed around egg-based energy, the station features a display of health products including eggshell fruit and vegetable cleansers, lysozyme toothpaste and mouthwash, egg membrane collagen peptides, and small-peptide beverages—all designed to promote overall well-being. Interactive installations allowing visitors to take photos with Dan Sheng Yuan have been set up, drawing crowds of guests eager to learn more, participate in activities, and enjoy the lively atmosphere filled with laughter and joy. Youth soars—YOUNG and unrestrained fun! The live competition keeps rolling, delivering intense and thrilling action. Multiple professional league teams have battled through group stages, semifinals, and a series of fierce matches to vie for the championship. The rivalry between teams has been truly captivating, with each side giving it their all. In the end, the coveted title went to the cast of “The Adorable Bad Boys.” Meanwhile, star guests—including young actors Wang Zhexin, Huang Xiyuan, Wu Mansi, Lin Junyi, Liu Hongfei, Gao Yuhang, and Zhang Dongzi—formed teams on-site to put on exciting exhibition matches, radiating energy and dazzling with star power. Over two consecutive days of competition, the event has seamlessly blended entertainment with technical brilliance. The passionate scenes of athletes pushing themselves to the limit have drawn thunderous applause from spectators outside the venue.
