Hubei Shendi Company’s 2022 Youth Employee Parent-Child Reading Culture Day Event

On April 5, 2022, on the special occasion of Qingming Festival, our company organized a parent-child reading cultural activity for some young employees and their family members, with the aim of commemorating the heroic martyrs, expressing gratitude to our motherland, promoting traditional Chinese virtues, fostering reading interests among teenagers and children, creating a vibrant home-based reading atmosphere, and cultivating noble sentiments of patriotism, dedication, and self-improvement.

　　As the pear blossoms begin to flutter in the Qingming season, we feel the essence of life and honor the gift of life.

　　A total of 16 children from 11 young employee families, along with their family members, took part in this event. The activities included a tour of the company’s exhibition hall, a casual meal together, a photo session with book gifts, and the distribution of red envelopes containing school supplies.

　　Around 10 a.m., family members and children gradually arrived at the company. They toured the comprehensive exhibition hall and the production workshop, learning about the company’s entrepreneurial journey and its development achievements. The children were given an educational introduction to the “transformation” of an ordinary egg—a lesson that not only inspired them with the power of knowledge but also helped them deeply understand the profound truth that technology can transform lives, education can change one’s destiny, and only through hard work can we truly realize the beauty and meaning of life.

　　At noon, family members and children dined together in the company’s VIP restaurant. It was a rare occasion for everyone to gather joyfully, reflecting on the past, reminiscing about hardships and savoring the sweetness of today, and collectively expressing gratitude—for the heroic martyrs who created a peaceful life, for our great motherland that has provided us with stability, and for our powerful company that has brought us happiness.

　　In the afternoon, all participating families gathered in the second-floor conference room. Each family sent one child as a representative to take part in a book-drawing lottery. Chairman Yang Yan personally presented books to the children and took individual photos with each of them. Finally, all the children posed together for a group photo. Deputy General Manager Xiong Wanju from the company then distributed red envelopes containing school supplies to each child, encouraging them to study hard and strive for continuous improvement!

　　At the event, Chairman Yang Yan delivered an impassioned speech. He said, “An individual’s home is a small family; the company is a larger family; and our motherland is the greatest family of all. We chose to hold this event on the special occasion of Qingming Festival precisely because Qingming is also a festival of gratitude. The character ‘qing’ means clarity and integrity, while ‘ming’ stands for brightness and uprightness. The children here today are the flowers of our motherland—the hope of our families. Every book I’m presenting to you today embodies the essence and legacy of China’s five-thousand-year history and culture. Chinese culture is profound and extensive. I hope that each of you—both our employees and these young friends—will take the time to carefully read and absorb these classic works of Chinese traditional learning when you return home, thus carrying forward the finest treasures of our nation’s cultural heritage. In the future, I sincerely hope that you’ll contribute your modest efforts to society and to our motherland.”

　　This cultural activity—organized for young employees to read together with their children—is of extraordinary significance. It not only strengthens the bonds between the company and its employees, as well as between employees and their families, enabling young employees to make up for the regret of not having enough time to spend with their families and children, and deepening their understanding and support for their loved ones’ work—but also fosters a strong atmosphere of family-based learning among employees. This, in turn, further inspires young employees’ enthusiasm for patriotic dedication and professional commitment, motivates their children to study diligently and strive to serve the country, and lays a solid foundation for passing on traditional Chinese virtues and cultivating sound moral and cultural qualities in the younger generation.
