On August 23, the 2023 Jingmen-Greater Bay Area Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair and the Inaugural Meeting of the Hong Kong Jingmen Hometown Association were held in Hong Kong. Shendi Group was invited to attend the event, and Yang Yan, Chairman of Shendi Group, was present.

Li Baozhong, Deputy Director of the Social Liaison Department of the Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, attended the event. Zhou Junjie, Vice Mayor of Jingmen Municipal Government, led the Jingmen delegation to the event and introduced Jingmen at the conference. Nearly 300 representatives from the China Enterprise Association, the General Association of Hubei Societies in Hong Kong, the Jingmen Fellow-Townsmen Association in Hong Kong, and business leaders from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area also participated in the event. The Jingmen Fellow-Townsmen Association in Hong Kong and the Jingmen High-tech Zone Financial Investment Promotion Liaison Office (Hong Kong) were officially unveiled and established at the conference.

In his speech at the conference, Zhou Junjie, Vice Mayor of Jingmen Municipal Government, stated that Jingmen is accelerating its efforts to become a national pilot zone for building a new development paradigm. The city will continue to optimize its business environment by further reducing institutional transaction costs, costs related to land use, labor, energy consumption, and financing, as well as logistics and market development expenses. This will attract the concentration of superior resources, boost development vitality, strengthen development momentum, and encourage more enterprises to invest confidently in Jingmen. According to Jingmen’s development goals, by 2025, the city’s total industrial output value will reach 600 billion RMB, and a preliminary “4211” industrial system will be established. Based on coordinated collaboration between government and enterprises, this system will drive industrial transformation and upgrading, thereby fueling Jingmen’s high-quality development.

At this matchmaking event, a total of 12 projects were signed on-site, including a high-end semiconductor chip packaging and testing project, a digital economy industrial park project, a lithium battery electrolyte precursor project, the Softech Xitian Greater Health Industrial Park project, a collaborative project for ecological egg-laying chicken farming and egg product sales, and a project for the high-value utilization of organic solid waste through insect conversion.

Yang Yan, Chairman of Shendi Group, attended the event and, in the presence of all participants, signed a $10 million contract with Hong Kong Sumai Agricultural Science & Technology Co., Ltd. for ecological egg-laying hen farming and egg sales. He expressed his hope to further expand into the Hong Kong market, collaborate with Hong Kong enterprises, and introduce Shendi eggs from Jingshan to more Hong Kong residents, enabling them to savor these delicious, nutritious, and high-quality eggs.
