From December 26 to 27, Xiang Keqiang, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Deputy Director of the Department, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Provincial Agricultural Development Center (at the level of a director-general), led a delegation to JingShan for a research visit. Accompanied by Liu Kexiong, Vice Mayor of Jingmen City; Hu Zhiqiang, Director of the Jingmen Municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Zhang Fangyuan, Director of the Jingmen Municipal Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Development Center; Zhang Yong, Secretary of the JingShan Municipal Party Committee; He Hongtao, Deputy Secretary of the JingShan Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Chen Junfeng, Deputy Secretary of the JingShan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Political and Legal Committee; Ai Qing, Vice Mayor of JingShan; Liu Hua, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the JingShan Municipal Government; Huang Hao, Director of the Jingmen Municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; and Cheng Weijun, Director of the JingShan Municipal Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Development Center, the delegation focused their investigation on Shendi Group.

Yang Yan, President of the Hubei Province Poultry Industry Association and Chairman of Shendi Group, warmly welcomed the research team and accompanied them on a visit to Shendi Group’s 300,000-layer egg-laying hen demonstration farm and Shendi Group’s JingShan headquarters. He also delivered a work report and engaged in an exchange with the team.

At the Shendi Group’s demonstration farm for 300,000 laying hens, Yang Yan introduced Xiang Keqiang and his delegation to Shendi Group’s comprehensive digital farming system. The system features full-process automation—including temperature control, lighting, feeding, water supply, and fresh egg collection—and can instantly identify sick or low-producing chickens through the system. Under strict quality control, this system has significantly boosted production efficiency and effectively prevented the spread of viruses.

At the JingShan headquarters of Shendi Group, the research team gained a detailed understanding of the group’s overall business operations and toured the Shendi Group’s headquarters cultural hall as well as its deep-processing base for egg products. Yang Yan introduced Shendi Group’s initiatives in the deep processing of egg products, the utilization of poultry and egg by-products, and the development of greater-health products, highlighting the group’s technological innovations and the commercialization of research findings. She also focused on reporting on Shendi Group’s progress in seed industry development and the upgrading of the poultry and egg industry.

Xiang Keqiang expressed his appreciation for Shendi Group’s nearly 20 years of deep-rooted commitment to the egg industry, which has enabled it to become a nationally recognized leader in agricultural industrialization.
