At the Provincial Party Committee’s Rural Work Conference, Secretary Ying Yong clearly pointed out: “Currently, the level of agricultural industrialization is not high. The key pain points lie in the lack of major leading enterprises; the main difficulties stem from the absence of strong brands; and the critical bottlenecks are the missing links in the industrial chain. We must firmly establish the guiding principle of giving top priority to industrial development and focusing on large-scale industries.” To gain a deeper understanding of the development status of our province’s poultry industry and to support the integration and listing of Hubei Province’s poultry industry, on March 17, a joint research team comprising experts and leading officials from the provincial government visited Shendi for an on-site investigation and study. The members of the joint research team included: Sun Jun, Second-Level Inspector of the Provincial Government Research Office; Li Jushen, Deputy Director of the Rural Industry Division of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Zheng Qize, Engineering Doctor from the Listing Guidance Center of the Provincial Local Financial Bureau; and Xu Guotian, Third-Level Researcher of the Fourth Division of the Provincial Government Research Office. Also accompanying the team were Li Xinyang, Deputy Director of the Jingmen Municipal Government Research Office; Dong Zhiyong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jingshan Municipal People’s Congress; Li Chuanbin, Deputy Director of the Municipal Government Office; Yang Benxiang, Deputy Director of the Municipal Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Wang Han, Deputy Director of the Municipal Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Development Center; and Wang Zhiyuan, Director of the Office of the Municipal Investment and Financing Center. Chairman Yang Yan delivered a thorough report to the research team on the company’s development journey, its strategic goals for the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the plan for integrating and listing Hubei Province’s poultry industry, all centered around the theme of “Leading China’s high-tech egg industry and developing a 10-billion-yuan health industry.” He pointed out that, benchmarking against the six agricultural listed companies already existing in neighboring Hunan Province, Hubei Province currently has only three agricultural listed companies (one of which has been placed under special treatment—ST). As a result, Hubei has fallen behind its neighboring provinces. He suggested that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs should leverage Hubei’s agricultural resource advantages, strengthen planning and implementation measures, focus on continuously nurturing leading enterprises with competitive strengths, and promote the development or integration of more qualified advantageous industries in Hubei into sectors worth tens of billions or even hundreds of billions of yuan. This would enable Hubei Province to truly become a major agricultural economic province and a powerhouse in the agricultural industry.

Inspector Sun Jun first expressed his agreement with Chairman Yang Yan’s report, fully endorsing the company’s development path for the deep processing of egg products and the technological, scale, and brand advantages it has already established, as well as its achievements in various areas. He pointed out that industrial development requires time, perseverance, and sustained effort; agricultural industries involve high investment, high risks, and long cycles. Nevertheless, agriculture is the foundation of the national economy and the cornerstone of economic development and social stability. Enterprises like Shendi, as leading industrialized companies, have tremendous future potential. He urged Shendi to stay true to its original aspirations and move forward with unwavering determination. He also noted that Hubei Province’s poultry industry shows promising signs, and there is good hope for the industry’s integration and listing.
Li Jushen, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, stated that we must embody the pioneering spirit of the “plowing ox”—a sense of urgency and immediacy—and vigorously develop our province’s advantageous agricultural industries. We must strive to leapfrog ahead, catch up with and even surpass the advanced, developed provinces. We strongly urge the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government to introduce robust support and nurturing policies, providing full-scale backing for the rapid development of Hubei Province’s poultry industry.
Zheng Qize, an engineering doctoral candidate from the Listing Guidance Center of the Provincial Local Financial Bureau, expressed high appreciation for the eight national invention patents achieved by Shendi Company in the field of advanced processing of egg products. He believes that the integration and listing plan for Hubei Province’s poultry industry is feasible and provided technical guidance on the standardized operation of integrated listing activities.
