“This is the third consecutive year that Hubei has leveraged the China International Import Expo—a crucial platform—to host a specialized economic and trade event,” said Liu Zhongchu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hubei Provincial People’s Government. The special event has received strong support from diplomatic envoys from countries including Norway and Belgium, as well as multinational corporations and business associations. It also showcases new achievements in economic and trade cooperation between Hubei and the Nordic region, highlights fresh opportunities for Hubei’s post-pandemic recovery, and helps take project matchmaking and economic and trade cooperation to a new level.

At the symposium, Vice Governor Zhao Haishan shared his views on the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, emphasizing that cold-chain logistics is a crucial link. According to Mr. Yang Fengfan, Chairman of the EGGBIO Dan Sheng Yuan brand, in the context of global pandemic prevention and control, Eggshell Fruit & Vegetable Cleaner—a naturally derived food-grade cleaning powder that boasts globally leading technological advancements—has been tested and certified by the P4 laboratory of the Institute of Virology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It can effectively eliminate potential risks of the novel coronavirus on surfaces. By soaking and washing, this product can remove harmful substances such as bacteria and viruses from the surfaces of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meat, and shrimp, achieving a sterilization rate of up to 99.99%.

At the signing ceremony, Liu Zhongchu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, and Ms. Qu Cuirong, Chief Executive Officer of Yum China, took to the stage to sign the “Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation.” Yang Qingsong, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Hubei Provincial Department of Commerce and full-time Deputy Director of the Provincial Port Office, and Philippe, Consul at the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai, signed the “Memorandum of Cooperation.”

On the afternoon of November 6, Hubei Shendi Group signed three cooperation agreements in total. First, Mr. Yang Yan, Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Yu Jie, Director of Digital Business at DNV (Norwegian Classification Society), signed the “Letter of Intent for Digital Traceability and Digital Management of Infection Control.”

To build a deep-processing project for ecological agriculture, Mr. Yang Yan has separately signed procurement agreements with Denmark’s Senovo Technology Co., Ltd. for the purchase of egg-processing equipment imported from Denmark, and with Vichan Israel Ltd. for the purchase of advanced processing equipment for eggs imported from Israel.
