On August 28, the promotion meeting for revitalizing agricultural product processing in Jingmen City was held at the Municipal Administrative Service Center. Chen Jiawei, Deputy Secretary of the Jingmen Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhao Shaolian, Deputy Secretary of the Jingmen Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Political and Legal Committee, and Tang Chengfeng, Vice Mayor of Jingmen, also attended the meeting. Leading officials including Luo Shaohua, Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, along with heads of key enterprises from various counties, districts, and cities, participated in the meeting.

The meeting called for adopting a chain-based approach to foster enterprise development, introducing and nurturing business entities across all sectors and throughout the entire industrial chain. This includes strengthening leading enterprises and chain-leading companies, effectively revitalizing existing assets, and expanding new growth areas. We must also adopt a chain-based mindset to promote sophisticated processing and deepening of the value chain, making concerted efforts to extend, supplement, and fortify the chain. Focusing on the directions of “precision, diversification, green practices, and intelligence,” we should accelerate manufacturing renewal and green transformation, and comprehensively drive industrial upgrading. Furthermore, we need to leverage a chain-based approach to enhance brand development by establishing and perfecting a full-process traceability system for agricultural product processing that covers “quality standards, brand certification, and food safety.” We should speed up the cultivation and expansion of the “Jingpin Mingmen” brand portfolio, and promote seamless integration of production and sales, trade connectivity, and e-commerce expansion across the entire chain, through all channels, and from every angle. Finally, we must embrace a chain-based approach to boost cluster development, insisting on integrated advancement across the production, processing, and sales ends. We should expedite the consolidation, optimization, and upgrading of industrial parks, vigorously develop large-scale operations, intensify technological collaboration and innovation, and achieve full-chain technological cooperation and shared resources between upstream and downstream sectors in the agricultural product processing industry, thereby continuously enhancing industrial resilience and market competitiveness.
